NOS-fartøj til Northern Offshore Services

Det svenske rederi Northern Offshore Services, der har afdelinger i både Danmark og Storbritannien, har taget levering af sin femte servicekatamaran i D-klassen - Defender. Rederiets servicekatamaraner sejler under dansk flag.

”Vi regner med at hun bliver leveret inden jul”, siger David Kristensson, koncernchef for Northern Group, som Northern Offshore Services er en del af, til Sjöfartstidningen.

Defender har, ligesom Detecter der blev leveret i sommer, plads til 24 passagerer, mod 12 passagerer om bord på de tre første fartøjer i serien.

Når Defender - der er 26,2 meter lang, 9,2 meter bred og skyder 30 knob - er leveret, vil den straks blive sendt på sin første opgave i den tyske del af Nordsøen.

I første kvartal 2017 bliver endnu et fartøj af samme type – Doer – blive leveret til Northern Offshore Services. Doer er det 13ende skib rederiet har kontraheret hos Grovjord Mek. Verkskad i Norge.

Northern Offshore Services har i dag mere end 30 skibe hvoraf de 25 arbejder indefor offshore branchen.
