Vandflyrute forventer 15.000 passagerer

Nordic Seaplanes, der sidste år åbnede vandflyruten mellem havnene i København og Aarhus, vil gøre det billigere at flyve midt på dagen. Selskabet har fået schweizisk Air Operators Certificate, AOC. Nordic Seaplanes forventer at få sit andet fly i 2018. Selskabet håber at runde 15.000 passagerer i år.

”Nordic Seaplanes har netop skiftet fra at have kroatisk driftstilladelse, AOC, til en schweizisk hos Zimex Aviation”, siger adm. direktør for og kaptajn i Nordic Seaplanes, Lasse Rungholm, til standby.dk.

I forbindelse med starten af den nye sæson i morgen, introducerer Nordic Seaplanes ny prisstruktur, der skal gøre det mere attraktivt at bruge ruten midt på dagen. I år forventer Lasse Rungholm, at Nordic Seaplanes kommer op på 15.000 passagerer.

Nordic Seaplanes flyver i denne tid to-tre gange om dagen mellem havnene i København og Aarhus, da flyet ikke må flyve, når det er mørkt. Om sommeren, når dagene er længere kan flyet med 17 passagersæder, gennemføre fem flyvninger om dagen.

Ruten kom godt fra start. Firmaet har ifølge egne oplysninger break-even ved fem passagerer, der hver betaler 1.800 kroner for en billet. Allerede i august sidste år var to tredjedele af pladserne besat på de dengang fem daglige afgange fra begge byer.

Lasse Rungholm ejer Nordic Seaplanes sammen med Lars Erik Nielsen. De har begge erfaring med vandflyvning fra Maldiverne.
