DFDS indgår aftale med Danish Crown

DFDS har indgået en stor samarbejdsaftale med Danish Crown. Den betyder at rederiet årligt skal sejle fra Esbjerg til England med 6500 kølecontainere fyldt med svinekød. Rederiet er glad for den nye aftale, der sikrer det fortsatte eksistensgrundlag for ruten Esbjerg-Harwich.

”Det er vi rigtig glade for. Det er en ekstrem vigtig aftale for os. Hvis vi ikke sejlede med det, så manglede ruten jo meget gods. Det ville være svært for ruten. Så aftalen giver et godt grundlag for ruten”, siger kommunikationschef Gert Jakobsen.

Rederiet transporterer i forvejen meget svinekød fra Esbjerg til Harwich. Den nye aftale, der sikrer grundlaget for ruten, betyder, at DFDS nu samarbejder direkte med Slagteriet Danish Crown og ikke som tidligere er afhængig af at vognmændene bruger ruten.
