CMA CGM vinder kamp om Thessaloniki

Et konsortium med CMA CGM har erhvervet en majoritetsandel i Grækenlands næststørste havn, Thessaloniki Port Authority (OLTH) i en aftale på 1,1 milliard EUR. Konsortiet skal i første omgang betale næsten 232 millioner EUR for erhvervelse af en 67 procent andel i OLTH.

”Den seneste aftale med det franske containerrederi CMA CGM, signalerer en ny æra for Thessaloniki havn, udsigterne til økonomisk udvikling i det nordlige Grækenland og landet som helhed”, siger Hellenic Republic Asset Development Fund (HRADF), der har stået for udbuddet.

Grækenlands Hellenic Republic Asset Development Fund har accepteret det forbedrede tilbud indsendt af det CMA CGM-kontrollerede Terminal Link sammen med partnerene Deutsche Invest Equity Partners og det Ivan Savvidis-kontrollerede Belterra Investments.

I begyndelsen af udbudsprocessen anmodede HRADF om bud på cirka 300 millioner EUR, men sænkede derefter sine forventninger til 220 millioner. OLTH har en skønnet markedsværdi på 202 millioner EUR.

Den samlede værdi af aftalen udgør 1,1 milliarder EUR, heraf indgår investeringer på 180 millioner EUR over de næste syv år og de forventede indtægter fra koncessionsaftalen, der udløber i 2051. Afslutningen af transaktion er underlagt godkendelse fra relevante myndigheder.
