Søfartsorganisationer sammenlægges

Der er i dag afholdt bestyrelsesmøde i den nye organisation Handelsflådens Arbejdsmiljø- og Velfærdsråd (SEA HEALTH & WELFARE), en sammenlægning af Handelsflådens Velfærdsråd, Søfartens Arbejdsmiljøråd, og Søfartens Bibliotek. Den nye organisation træder i kraft pr. 1. januar 2018.

”Vi ser frem til at implementere den nye strategi i en samlet organisation, hvor vores medlemmer vil opleve et tættere samarbejde og mere synlighed. Vi er allerede i fuld gang med at udarbejde nye initiativer og ser frem til at fortsætte arbejdet med at udbygge det sunde, sikre arbejdsliv i søfarten, samt løbende opdatere velfærdsydelserne til tidens behov.” siger den nye ledergruppe.

På mødet blev der valgt ny bestyrelse. Direktøren for den nye organisation er René Andersen og de to nye faglige chefer er Irene Olsen fra Søfartens Bibliotek og Vivek Menon fra Søfartens Arbejdsmiljøråd (SEAHEALTH).
