Scandlines quits Trelleborg - Travemünde
SHIPPING: Scandlines will halt its frightferry service between Trelleborg in Sweden and Travemünde in Germany. The ferry Götaland and its crew will be chartered to Scandlines competitor TT-Line, which will continue operating on the ferryservice.
"The service hasn't made a profit for quite some years. We didn't have any choice but to close it down", Scandlines communication manager Joakim Kenndal told Sydsvenska.
Götaland will know be chartered to Scandlines' competitor TT-Line. "We dodn't exactly know, what they are going to do with the service, but we know, that the staff will keep their jobs", says Joakim Kenndal.
"Then we will sit down with our customers and discuss where we go from here".
