Norfolkline ships changes management
SHIPPING: The ships that joined the DFDS fleet following the acquisition of Norfolkline, has been externally managed by Maersk Ship Management. DFDS has now decided to take over the management of these ships.
In the future DFDS People and Ships division will be responsi-ble for them.
“We’ve been very happy with the work of Maersk Ship Management. However, gathering all our ships under one management will ensure a range of syn-ergies and enable us to streamline processes, policies and communication‟, says Vice President Kasper Moos, who is responsible for technical organisation and conse-quently for DFDS‟ ship management.
The change will not affect the work of staff on the ships in question as they are employed by DFDS. The contract with Maersk Ship Management expires at the end of March and Maersk Ship Management and DFDS are working closely to en-sure a smooth transition.
