MHI Vestas får tysk havmølleordre

MHI Vestas Offshore Wind har modtaget en fast og ubetinget ordre fra Northland Power Inc., da firmaet meddelte, at Deutsche Bucht-projektet, DeBu, har fundet økonomisk finansiering til det 1,3 milliarder EUR dyre projekt. Vestas skal levere 31 styk V164-8.0 MW møller til havmølleparken.

”Vi er glade for at se, at dette landemærkeprojekt opnår økonomisk finansiering. Ordren bekræfter styrken ved V164-8.0 MW som en meget konkurrencedygtig turbine til det tyske marked, hvor afstand fra kysten og dybere farvande kræver en større og mere kraftfuld mølle. Vi ser meget frem til vores partnerskab med Northland om at levere ren energi til Tyskland”, siger Jens Tommerup, CEO for MHI Vestas Offshore Wind.

Projektet understreger den voksende tilstedeværelse af MHI Vestas Offshore Wind i Tyskland og markedets efterspørgsel efter V164 turbine platformen. Kontrakten indeholder også en langtidig servicepakke af fuldt omfang, der maksimerer kraftproduktionen på stedet.

DeBu er Northlands tredje havmølleprojekt. Det ligger 77 km fra Northlands anden tyske havmøllepark, Nordsee One. Når den er færdig, forventes DeBu at generere tilstrækkelig bæredygtig energi til at dække behovet hos over 178.000 husstande.

Havmølleparken på i alt 252 MW vil reducere CO2-udledningen med over 360.000 tons om året og støtte den tyske regerings CO2-reduktionsmål.
