Marine-el åbner filial i Bangladesh

Hirtshals firmaet Marine-El er ved at etablere et nyt datterselskab i Bangladesh. Sammen med en lokal partner vil firmaet byde ind på at installere el og elektronik i både nye og gamle skibe.

Baggrunden for de store muligheder i Bangladesh skal findes i, at arbejdskraften er særdeles billig.

"De bygger 10-50 gange flere skibe end vi gør i Danmark - og de bygger fine skibe", siger Marine-El's direktør Per Christensen til nordjyske.dk.

Det hele startede med, at Per Christensen var i Bangladesh i 2009 for at arbejde på et skib. Her konstaterede han, at der vist var masser af muligheder for at lave forretninger i det fjerne land.

Med assistance fra bl.a. Vækstforum Nordjylland og Hjørring ErhvervsCenter er det nu lykkedes firmaet at etablere sig i Bangladesh, og hvis det går efter planen, skal Marine-El have ansat en håndfuld installatører, som på skift skal sørge for, at den danske knowhow bliver ordentligt overført til værfterne i Bangladesh.
