LORC ønsker større havn ved Lindø

LORC-testcenteret på Lindø, der har planer om også at teste fundamenter til de helt store havvindmøller betyder, at Odense Havn skal udvides. Centeret tester i dag dele til havvindmøller, men når møllerne og i bliver større, er der også behov for at teste nye og større fundamente.

”Odense Havn og vi skal finde ud af, hvordan vi får havnebassinets dybde og omfang til at kunne rumme test af fuld-skala fundamenter, siger Poul Nyrup Rasmussen, der er afgående formand for LORC til DR/Fyn.

Direktør for Odense Havn, Carsten Aa, ser positivt på ønsket fra testcentret LORC i Lindø Industripark om at kunne teste fundamenter til store havvindmøller.

”Vi forventer at påbegynde en udvidelse af vores terminal i 2014. Hvis det går, som vi forventer, er det helt oplagt at gå ind i en dialog om at skabe de faciliteter, som LORC efterspørger”, siger Carsten Aa.

Test af store havmølle-fundamenter skal ifølge den nye bestyrelsesformand på LORC, Anders Eldrup, være med til at gøre LORC til et af verdens førende centre ved test af vindmøller.

Havnens udvidelsesplaner på Lindø har medført to klager, der skal behandles i Natur- og Miljøklagenævnet.
