Koreansk skib via Nordøstpassagen

Sydkoreas Hyundai Glovis, er indstillet på at gå i gang med godstransport via den arktiske søvej nord om Rusland. Det er for første gang for en koreansk virksomhed. Rederiet starter med en forsøgssejlads den 15. september fra Ruslands baltiske havn Ust-Luga.

Den første sejlads består af en last på 37.000 tons nafta, som Koreas Yeochun NCC importerer fra Novatec, Ruslands næststørste gasproducent. Skibet forventes at ankomme til Kwangyang i Sydkorea midt i oktober måned.

Hyundai Glovis har i forbindelsee med prøvesejladsen chartret et produkttankskib fra Sveriges Stena med en dødvægt på 65.000 tons.

Hyundai Glovis har først i år startet sin tankerdivision efter en kontrakt med Hyundai oil, som blev indgået i marts måned.
