Fremgang hos Epic Gas i andet kvartal

Indtægterne i det Singapore-baserede rederi Epic Gas voksede 20 procent i andet kvartal til 32,9 millioner dollar sammenlignet med samme periode sidste år. Driftsresultatet før afskrivninger (EBITDA) voksede tilsvarende 17 procent til 7,6 millioner dollar i samme periode på årsbasis.

Rederiet har ved udgangen af andet kvartal et nybygningsprogram, der omfatter et indchartret skib samt syv egne skibe til en værdi af 126 millioner dollar. I andet kvartal har Epic Gas set raterne på LPG-markedet fortsætte nedad. Mens raterne for de mindre skibe er faldet cirka 20 procent på årsbasis, er raterne for det større 7.500 cbm segment faldet med mere beskedne fem procent sammenlignet med andet kvartal 2014.

Driftsomkostningerne pr. dag faldt tre procent til 4.061 dollar pr. skib i andet kvartal på årsbasis, mens de administrative omkostninger pr. skib faldt 23 procent til 1.225 dollar takket være væksten i flåden. Da Epic Gas fortsat arbejder på at effektivisere, forventer rederiet at forbedre dette tal yderligere.
