Fayard vedligeholder russisk kontrollerede gasskibe

Samtidig med at Danmark forsøger at bremse den såkaldte russiske skyggeflåde, for at forhindre Rusland i at finansiere krigen mod Ukraine gennem eksport af sanktionsramt olie, tjener Fayard gode penge på at vedligeholde gasskibe, der menes at være russisk kontrollerede.

Gastankskibene er specifikt bygget til at transportere naturgas fra den arktiske del af Rusland til eksportmarkeder. Dermed bidrager de på linje med skyggeflåden, til at finansiere den russiske krigsførelse.

Ejeren af Fayard, Thomas Andersen, understreger overfor Danwatch at værftet overholder loven, men ønsker herudover ikke at udtale sig om sagen.

Gastankskibene sejler ikke under russisk flag, men er indregistreret i forskellige lande og er tilsyneladende ejet af ikke-russiske selskaber.

Finans påviste dog for to år siden, at tre af de gastankskibe Fayard dengang servicerede, reelt var ejet af det russiske selskab Yamal LNG, det samme selskab som står bag udskibningen af gassen i Rusland.
