Færøerne: Endnu en russisk trawler repareres

På trods af udenlandske protester, og et snarligt forbud på vej i Lagtinget, er endnu en russisk trawler på vej til at blive repareret på Færøerne.

Det drejer sig om den russiske trawler Ostankino, der er ejet af Murman Seafood. Trawleren ligger lige nu ved kaj i nærheden af Klaksvig, og forventes at få værftsplads på torsdag.

Reparationen sker på trods af, at EU og Norge har lukket deres havne for skibe tilhørende Murman Seafood, da de mistænkes for at spionere for de russiske myndigheder.

Den færøske udenrigs-, handels- og industriminister Sigrid Stenberg har fremsat et lovforslag der forbyder vedligeholdelse af russiske skibe på Færøerne. Lovforslaget behandles af Lagtinget den 28. august.
