Evergreen bestiller 10 feederskibe

Taiwanesiske Evergreen Group, der er moderselskab for Evergreen Line, er i gang med et større flådefornyelsesprogram og har senest bestilt 10 stk. 2.800 TEU feederskibe hos det japanske værft Imabari Shipbuilding. Ordren kommer efter, at Evergreen bestilte 10 lignende skibe fra CSBC i Taiwan i sidste måned.

Skibene forventes leveret i 2018 og frem til første halvdel af 2019. Alle 20 skal efter planen sættes ind på ruter internt i Asien.

Skibene bliver 211 meter lange, 32,8 meter brede, og de får en dybgang på 10 meter. Skibene bliver desuden udstyret med motorer, så de overholder IMO Tier II-standarden for NOx-udledning og kravene fra EEDI. Desuden oplyser Evergreen, at udledningerne bliver reduceret med 20 procent sammenlignet med skibe af tilsvarende størrelse og med et mere traditionelt skibsdesign.

Det er det tredje skibsbygningsprogram i Evergreen’s flådefornyelsesprogram, som Imabari deltager i.

Evergreen er det femtestørste containerrederi på globalt plan.
