CIP i samarbejde med Evergreen om udvikling af CO2-neutrale brændstoffer

Danske Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) har indgået et samarbejde med det taiwanesiske rederi Evergreen om produktion og brug af CO2-neutrale brændstoffer.

Samarbejdsaftalen - et memorandum of understanding - vil inddrage flere aspekter inklusiv produktion af e-brændstoffer i Taiwan baseret på havvind, men også udvikling af grønne brændstoffer som e-ammoniak og e-metanol.

CIP er allerede involveret i udvikling og konstruktion af havvindmølle-parker i Taiwan, der med støtte fra den taiwanesiske regering har potentiale til at blive en producent af kommende CO2-neutrale brændstoffer.

Aftalen er indgået mellem CIP´s Energi Transition Fund (ETF) og Evergreen.

“ETF er verdens største fond, der er dedikeret til investering og udvikling af avancerede energi-teknologier, som understøtter overgangen til bæredygtig energi. CIP har allerede et stærkt fodfæste i Taiwan, og vi ser frem til at arbejde sammen med Evergreen til yderligere at støtte Taiwan´s  ambition om at nå målet om netto-nul udledning i 2050,” udtaler Felix Pahl, der er partner i CIP.

Evergreen er som rederi også i fuld gang med at tilpasse sig en fremtid med grønnere containerskibe. Rederiet bestilte tidligere i år 24 dual-fuel metanol containerskibe, der skal leveres i 2026 og 2027.
