ABB åbner serviceværksted i Tromsø

ABB åbner sit nordligste serviceværksted i Tromsø, der skal tage sig af renovering af turboladere til skibe. Så nu kan skibe nord for polarcirklen få reduceret den tid, det tager at få renoveret en turbolader fra en uge til en dag.

”Når vi åbner ABB’s nordligste serviceværksted får vi kortere responstid og kan udføre overhaling af turboladere i forbindelse med skifte af mandskab eller bunkring”, fortæller Joachim Bremer, leder af ABB’s servicevirksomhed for turboladere i Skandinavien.

Det nye værksted foretager renovering med originaldele fra ABB, og værkstedet kan også udføre mobil service på turboladere i Troms og Finnmarken.

Et af de rederier, som har udstyret sine skibsmotorer med ABB’s turboladere, er Hurtigruten.

”Åbningen af det nye serviceværksted er positivt for fartøjer med ABB-udstyr, som har et tilhørsforhold og liggetid i området”, siger Frode Hernar, teknisk direktør i Hurtigruten.
