Værftsboss: Ejerne gav os lang snor

Selv om ejere har givet Lindøværftet lang snor, har værftets ledelse nu erkendt, at det ikke er muligt at drive værftet videre på et økonomisk sundt grundlag. Hermed er der heller ikke længere håb om, at de 2500 ansatte kan bevare deres job.

"Vi må erkende, at den konkurrence, vi er underlagt fra Fjernøsten og senest Kina, gør det meget vanskeligt. I den senere tid er det ikke lykkedes for os at få nye ordrer på kommercielle, sunde vilkår", siger værftsdirektør Finn Buus Nielsen til RB-Børsen.

Selv hvis der skulle komme en ordre dumpende, vil svaret være nej.

"Beslutningen er truffet", fastslår Finn Buus Nielsen.

Men Finn Buus Nielsen håber på, at strategien med at leje arealerne ud til anden industri vil betyde, at mange arbejdspladser kommer igen. Af de 2500 ansatte er de 2100 timelønnede, mens 470 er funktionærer. Af funktionærerne er 130 allerede i opsigelsesaftaler, oplyser direktøren.
