Rønne Havn skal spare penge op.

Rønne Havns er økonomisk presset. Derfor skal en ny strategi fra kommunen sikre havnen større indtjening på både kort og lang sigt. Et af midlerne er at give bedre mulighed for at sætte areallejen op. Formålet er, at havnen på skal spare penge op til fremtidige investeringer.

”Enhver havn har brug for at tjene penge. Det er forudsætningen for, at man kan udvikle den. Der er nogle forskellige områder, hvor havnen taber penge, og dem skal vi til at kigge på, så vi kan reducere omkostningerne mest muligt”, siger den tilfredse havnedirektør Thomas Bendtsen.

Bornholms Kommune ejer næsten alle aktierne i Rønne Havn A/S. På kommunalbestyrelsesmødet torsdag besluttede politikerne sig derfor at lægge en ny strategi for havnen. En af planerne er at sætte areallejen op for de virksomheder, der ligger på havnearealerne i Rønne.

”Det er ekstremt vigtigt, at Rønne Havn får mulighed for at fokusere på forretningsområder, der giver overskud. Rønne Havn er forudsætningsskaber for udvikling på Bornholm og er derfor nødt til at have en solid økonomi og mulighed for solid indtjening”, sagde Venstres Steen Colberg Jensen i går aftes på kommunalbestyrelsesmødet.
