Odense delivers the first ro/ro ferrie
YARDS: The shipyard at Lindo delivers the first out of six ro/ro ferries, which the shipyard is constructing for the British investment company Epic Shipping. The newly built ship, which has the hull number 217, has been named Maas Viking and will be sailing charter for Norfolkline.
The ro/ro ship, which is constructed by license of Flensburger Schiffsbau, Has already been employed on the service between Rotterdam and North Killingholme.
Maas Viking has more than 3.800 lane meters spread over four decks. The ship is 199 meters long and 26.5 meters wide. It is equipped with a Caterpillar 9M43 which produces 7.150 kW.
The next sister ship, Humber Viking, will follow in August.
