MAN Diesel discharges 90 in Copenhagen
MARITIME INDUSTRY: Decline in order intake is the reason for MAN Diesel to discharge 50 salaried workers and 40 hourly-paid employees in Copenhagen. MAN Diesel expects that the orders on ships and activity in new constructions will remain on a low level in the near future.
"We regret it, but it is unfortunately necessary that we make some adjustments and tell some of our employees goodbye", says CEO Thomas S. Knudsen, MAN Diesel.
"Even though the market has declined considerably, I want to emphasise that we have a healthy company. We maintain our high level of activity within research and development of green technologies. In this way, we will ensure the development of fuel efficient engines with low emissions benefitting both climate, environment and the company", says CEO Thomas S. Knudsen, MAN Diesel.
