Largest offshore cable pulled ashore
OFFSHORE: Energinet.dk has a 42 km sea cable pulled ashore on the west coast of Jutland. The cable is from the new offshore windmill park Horns Reef II. The cable will now be connected to a ground cable and will bring power to the network in Endrup.
The construction includes two elements, the establishment of the plant pulling the cable ashore - a massive 150.000-volt sea cable from Horns Reef 2 - and the establishment of the necessary installations for connecting the cables on shore.
The plant pulling the cable from Horns Reef 2 will be a 150-kV radial made of a 55 km ground cable, a 45 km sea cable and a transformer platform (Horns Reef B) close to the offshore windmill park. On the transformer platform the offshore windmill park will be connected through a transformer and the offshore cable is connected the transmission network onshore at station Endrup.
In Endrup the effect from Horns Reef 2 will be increased to 400-kV level via a separate 400 MVA 150/400 kV transformer, which simultaneously is used to regulate the voltage of the offshore windmill park.
