The aim of the Passenger Safety, Cargo Safety and Hull Integrity section of this course is to provide the mandatory level of knowledge required for all Masters, Chief Engineer Officers, Chief Mates, Second Engineer Officers and persons assigned immediate responsibility for embarking and disembarking passengers, for loading, discharging, or securing cargo, or for closing hull openings on board RO-RO passenger ships.

You will learn how to recognize the signs of stress and mental health challenges, and gain an understanding of both your responsibilities and your employer's responsibilities in addressing stress at work. You will explore a structured approach to managing work- related stress that focuses on six key factors: demands, control, support, relationships, role, and change.

The aim of this course is to inform you about the different categories of health hazards and which hazards may be monitored by a medical surveillance program. You will be able to explain how to request medical records and identify which documents are exempt from disclosure. You will also be able to describe an employer's responsibilities regarding medical records.

You will learn about the legislation outlined in different anti-Bribery laws and how this translates into the workplace. You will also gain knowledge and awareness on what appropriate actions you should take if you have any concerns relating to bribery and corruption.
