Dansk udviklet forsyningsskib tager form

Det danske skibsarkitekt firma Knud E. Hansen var med, da kølen til Australiens nye isbrydende forsyningsskib fredag blev strakt på et rumænsk værft. Knud E. Hansen har udviklet konceptet til skibet, der både skal fungere som forskningsskib og forsyningsskib for de australske forskningsstationer i Antarktis.

Det 160 meter lange isbrydende skib ventes leveret i 2020 og indsat i 2020/2021.

Skibet har plads til 116 passagerer / forskere og 32 besætningsmedlemmer.
