Damen får ordre på 19 specialfartøjer

Damen Shipyards Group har fået en ordre på 19 fartøjer med lav dybgang fra det tyske heavy-lift rederi Combi Lift. Skibene skall transportere overdimensionerede og tunge komponenter til Gazprom Amur Gas’ gasbehandlingsanlægs-projekt i det russiske Fjernøsten.

Kontrakten omfatter fire multi-cats, fire pusher slæbebåde, syv Stan pontoner og fire side floaters. Combi Lift skal transportere mere end 176.000 tons last fra forskellige produktionssteder med skib til Rusland og gennem Amur og Zeya floderne.

Combi Lifts arbejde består blandt andet af er løft og transport af tolv elementer, der hver vejer 900 tons. Visse strækninger af Amur og Zeya floderne kan være meget lavvanddet. Disse betingelser kan forværres med svære vejrforhold og vinteris. Værftet må derfor lave en række tilpasninger af sine standardfartøjer.

”For eksempel, må vi reducere deres samlede vægt og forlængeeller udvide dem i bredden for at opnå reduceret dybgang og øget opdrift. Desuden skal et hævbart styrehus monteres for at give et bedre og sikkert overblik over dækket og lasten”, siger Damen.

Konstruktionen af de specialdesignede fartøjer finder sted på Damen Yichang Shipyard i Kina og Damen Shipyards Gorinchem og Damen Shipyards Hardinxveld i Holland. Alle skibe skal bygges efter lokale krav.
