Cosco får ordre på tre containerskibe

Kinesiske Cosco Corp. har fået en kontrakt på tre containerskibe, der skal bygges på Cosco’s Guangdong-facilitet. Cosco Guangdong har underskrevet kontrakten med en europæisk køber vedrørende tre 1.750 TEU-containerskibe.

Det bliver de første containerskibe, der skal bygges ved Cosco Guangdong. Værftet har ikke offentliggjort navnet på køberen og heller ikke kontraktens værdi. Men det ligger fast, at skibene skal leveres i tredje kvartal 2019.

Guangdong-værftet er for øjeblikket ved at bygge 13 platform supply vessels (PSV’er) og blandt andet også to forskningsskibe.

Sidst Cosco fik en ordre på byggeri af containerskibe var i juni, hvor Cosco Zhoushan fik til opgave at bygge fire 3.300 TEU containerskibe til CMA CGM. Leveringen af disse skibe finder sted mellem den 31. marts og den 31. august 2018.
