A2SEA might be put up for sale
DONG Energy's 51 percent stake in the fast-growing specialty company A2SEA may come into play as a result of DONG selling assets with a value of at least DKK ten billion.
Børsen quotes Jyske Bank, saying that it is very likely that the stake in A2SEA will be put on sale. DONG's newly appointed CEO Henrik Poulsen corresponds to the newspaper, evasive to a question about whether DONG is co-owner of A2SEA in three years.
"I can not answer you at the moment", says Henrik Poulsen Exchange.
DONG has a controlling 51 percent stake in the A2Sea, while Siemens owns the remaining 49 percent.
A2SEA has grown significantly in recent years. The company has recently taken delivery of installation vessel Sea Install and contracted last year a sister ship of Cosco Shipyard. In addition, the company has a wide range of specialized vessels for installation and maintenance of offshore wind farms.
