ZIM Rotterdam nægtet havneanløb

Det Isrelske containerskib ZIM Rottedam, hvor der for fire dage siden udbrød brand ombord er blevet forment adgang til de egyptiske havne i Suez-bugten og ved Det Røde Hav. Nogle medier har skrevet, at skibet skulle i havn i Ain Sokhna efter, at branden var slukket. Det benægter egyptiske myndigheder.

Major General Hassan Fallah, leder af Red Sea Ports Authority, har benægtet, at skibet fik tilladelse til at komme ind Ain Sokhna Port, for at foretage reparationer efter at skibet brød i brand for fire dage siden på vej fra havnen i Djibouti. Branden er senere blevet slukket.

Fallah sagde i en pressemeddelelse torsdag, at han havde informeret flådebaser om at overvåge skibet, der for øjeblikket ligger ud for kysten i Suez-bugten. Han oplyste også, at besætningen på Zim Rotterdam var informeret om, at de ikke var velkommen til at anløbe Det Røde Havs havne i det Sydlige Sinai eller Det Røde Hav.

Seneste nyt er, at skibet har sat kurs sydpå væk fra Suez og modsat sit bestemmelsessted, som er Felixstowe i England, med nedsat fart på omkring otte knob. Rederiet forholder sig tavs om, hvad der sker og har heller ikke udtalt sig om branden.
