Tre mand kidnappet fra japansk tanker

Tre besætningsmedlemmer fra et mindre japansk produkttankskib er blevet bortført, efter at deres skib blev kapret ved Malaysia. Naniwa Maru 1 blev bordet af seks bevæbnede pirater omkring klokken 01.00 onsdag lokal tid ifølge malaysisk politi.

Piraterne har lænset skibet for lasten på op mod 5.000 tons dieselolie ved at pumpe brændstoffet over i i to ventende skibe. Det japansk- flagede tankskib var på vej til Myanmar fra Singapore. Det havde en blandet besætning af indonesere, thaier, malajer og indere.

De tre bortførte er alle indonesere. Der er ifølge nogle medier mistanke om, at de tre mand har været i ledtog med de bevæbnede mænd, der kaprede skibet og stjal lasten.

I oktober og november sidste år fandt to lignende hændelser sted ud for Malaysias kyst. I begge tilfælde blev lasten ligeledes stjålet. Ifølge lokale sikkerhedspersoner har kidnapperne tilsyneladende på forhånd viden om skibene og deres last.
