Travlhed i de kinesiske containerhavne

Antallet af containere i de 10 største kinesiske havne satte i ny rekord i første kvartal med 31,9 millioner TEU. Dermed er den kinesiske containeraktivitet nu for første gang højere end da krisen satte ind i 2008.

31,9 millioner TEU er 22 procent mere end i samme kvartal sidste år, og næsten tre millioner TEU mere, end da opsvinget buldrede derudaf i 1. kvartal 2008, skriver Alphaliner.

Det franske konsulenthus slår fast, at stigningen i mængderne var størst i de tre sydkinesiske havne, Shenzen, Goangzhou og Xiamen, hvor mængderne er tilbage på niveau med 2008.

De seneste handelstal fra den kinesiske regering viser et kinesisk handelsunderskud på 7,24 milliarder dollar i marts. Det var landets første månedlige underskud siden april 2004. Eksporten steg 24,3 procent på årsbasis, mens importen steg 66 procent.
