In this course you will learn about common threats to maritime security and how they are mitigated through the use of a Security Plan and by adhering to MARSEC levels. You will be able to describe the different roles of personnel and explain standard security procedures. You will also be able to identify how to respond to suspicious behaviour and objects.

To refresh previous gained knowledge obtained in STCW A-VI/1-1 basic safety training. Principles af seasurvival and ship evacuation. Knowledge of collective and personal means of rescue, incl. how to use them.

After completion of the course, the delegate must meet the qualification requirements in accordance with the STCW Code Table A-VI/2-1 Target Group: Persons to be included as the ships operating crew who must operate liferafts, lifeboats and man-over-board boats. Course Contents: Operation and construction of: - Liferafts - Lifeboats - Man-over-board boats - Life saving appliances Life-saving first aid, haemorrhage, shock and hypothermia.
