Tanker med OW forbindelse på auktion

Et malaysisk tankskib, der er forbundet med konkursen i OW Bunker, har vist sig usædvanlig svært at sælge. Efter et tredje forsøg den 24. april, hvor det ikke lykkedes at finde en køber, prøver man nu med en fjerde auktion, hvor bud på Arowana Milan skal være afgivet den 11. maj.

Det malaysiske flag skib, der ejes af Kekuatan Perkasa Jaya, men drives af Oceanlink i Singapore, var et af seks Singapore-baserede bunker tankskibe, som blev arresteret af det USA-baserede Phillips 66 International Tradings Singapore afdeling, efter OW Bunkers sammenbrud i november sidste år.

Phillips 66 hævdede disse fartøjer havde fejlleveret lasten af bunkerolie, som selskabet mener de ejer, på trods af ladningsdokumemter, der viser at ordren var afgivet af OW Bunker.

Fartøjet blev sendt på auktion, da skibets ejer undlod at stille alternativ sikkerhed for kravene mod det.
