Soldat dømt for læk af piratoplysninger

En 27-årig dansk soldat blev onsdag ved Retten i Næstved idømt 14 dages betinget fængsel for pligtforsømmelse ved at have lækket fortrolige oplysninger. Retten fandt det formildende, at han sendte mailen til sin far, som selv er ansat i Nato og dermed sikkerhedsgodkendt.

Da Esbern Snarre i marts sidste år forfulgte sejlskibet ING med en dansk familie, der var blevet kapret af pirater ud for Somalias kyst, var skibets forbindelse til omverdenen via telefon og mail afbrudt i nogle dage

Da Esbern Snarre igen fik forbindelse til omverdenen, sendte den 27-årige maskingast en mail til sin far. Heri fortalte han, at de danske myndigheder var i kontakt med faderen i den kaprede sejlerfamilie via sms, og at det danske krigsskib i flere dage havde forfulgt sejlskibet.

"Vi havde en befrielsesaktion planlagt, og den var godkendt hele vejen op til forsvarschefen, men blev afblæst af politiske grunde," fortalte maskingasten i retten.

Den 27-årige soldat forsvarede sig med, at han ikke vidste, hvad der stod i sikkerhedsintrukserne om, hvad han måtte eller ikke måtte fortælle sin familie.

De ledende officerer fra Esbern Snare sagde i retten, at der flere gange over skibets højttalere var gjort opmærksom på sikkerhedsinstrukserne, og det var den 27-åriges eget ansvar at sætte sig ind i dem.

Det gav retten officererne ret. Maskingasten burde have sat sig ind i sikkerhedsinstrukserne. Han burde desuden kunne sige sig selv, at kontakten til faderen på det kaprede sejlskib ikke skulle offentliggøres i hele verden.

"Din almindelige sunde fornuft burde sige dig, at de oplysninger ikke skulle ud til offentligheden," sagde retsformanden Kim Rasmussen.

Den 27-årige ankede på stedet dommen til Østre Landsret med krav om frifindelse.
