Skibskollision forårsager olieforurening

Et skibssammenstød i nat i Johor-strædet mellem Singapore og Malaysia har forårsaget et spild på ca. 300 tons bunker-oil.

Olien kommer fra et brud på en af

olietankene på APL Denver efter sammenstødet med Wan Hai 301 og havnemyndighederne i Johor oplyser, at de sendte fire miljøskibe til stedet for at bekæmpe forureningen og lagde en flydespæring omkring skibet.

Også i Singapore blev der spottet oliespild og havnemyndighederne

oplyser, at forureningen bliver bekæmpet med i alt 8 miljøskibe.

Der er ingen tilskadekomne rapporteret fra uheldet, ligesom trafikken i den østlige del af Johor-strædet og i Singapores havn er upåvirket.
