Safety at Sea award for Nadiro
MARITIME INDUSTRY: Nadiro, owned by A. P. Moller - Maersk and the SH Group, have - in collaboration with Maersk Tankers - been awarded Lloyds List's Global Safety at Sea award, for their innovative Boat-In-A-Box lifesaving system, including the Drop-In-Ball hook.
"Winning a Lloyds List Award is the highest recognition that we can achieve", says Esben Juul Sorensen, Managing Director, Nadiro.
"We are overwhelmed by the interest and have big ambitions for the future to bring safety benefits to our colleagues at sea - and bring value to our shareholders", says Juul Sorensen.
Maersk Tankers is also delighted.
"Maersk Tankers is continually looking for innovative ways of improving safety and performance, and we're delighted to have been awarded with Lloyds List's Global Safety at Sea award, which we see as an international recognition of our efforts to improve standards", says Bent Nielsen from Maersk Tankers.
Another Danish shipping company, J. Lauritzen, scored second place in the category 'Ship of The Year', with their innovative offshore support and accommodation vessel Dan Swift.
