Regnefejl kostede Maersk førstepladsen

Maersk Line kan alligevel forsat kalde sig verdens mest pålidelige containerrederi. Drewry havde ellers frataget rederiet titlen i sin rapport fra februar. Nu viser det sig, at der var tale om en regnefejl. Det skriver Maersk Line i en pressemeddelelse.

”Der er en tro på, at pålidelighed er lig med højere omkostninger. Det er ganske sikkert rigtigt, hvis den opnås uden at kigge på de samlede omkostninger fra destination til destination, altså hvis hele netværket ikke er designet og drevet pålideligt. Vores opfattelse er, at pålidelighed og omkostningseffektivitet er to sider af samme sag”, skriver Maersk Lines chef for Northern European Liner Operations Team Anders Lund Kristensen i meddelelsen.

I Drewrys rapport for fjerde kvartal 2012, der udkom den 7. februar, stod ellers, at Hanjin Shipping havde overhalet Maersk Line som verdens mest pålidelige containerrederi. Det skyldtes dog en regnefejl, som Drewry nu har rettet. Maersk Line var altså alligevel det mest pålidelige containerrederi i fjerde kvartal.

I første kvartal 2013 opnåede Maersk Line en pålidelighed på 89,1 procent. mod 89,3 procent i fjerde kvartal 2012. Maersk Line har dermed været det mest pålidelige rederi i 12 af de 13 kvartaler, opgørelsen har været lavet.
