Queen of Scandinavia to be a hotel ship
SHIPPING: On Wednesday, DFDS Seaways' ferry Queen of Scandinavia left the port of Korsor, where it has been docked after DFDS Seaways closed the service between Bergen - Newcastle. The ship is now on its way to Oskarsham in Sweden where it will be used as a hotel ship.
Tourists will be replaced by boiler suits and toolboxes, as DFDS Seaways' 30 years old ferry Queen of Scandinavia docks at Oskarsham in Sweden. Here, the ferry will be used as a hotel ship, housing up to 800 tradesmen working on the renovation and reconstruction of the city's large nuclear power plant.
The 30 years old but very well kept ferry is fully functional and offered for sale for the sum of 270 million DKK, but the final buyer of Queen of Scandinavia has not yet been found.
