Odfjell Drilling ansætter op mod 400

Efter den voldsomme nedtur, der de seneste år har ramt offshore-branchen, har norske Odfjell Drilling, der måtte opsige 1.500 ansatte, annonceret ansættelse af op mod 400 medarbejdere. Der sker i 2018 og 2019 til nye offshore-kontrakter, der giver mangel på arbejdskraft i selskabet.

”Vi har flere job, der nu er på vej og i den forbindelse skal vi øge bemandingen. Vi taler om 300 til 400 nye medarbejdere på verdensplan”, siger Odfjell Drilling CEO Simen Lieungh til Sysla Offshore.

Simen Lieungh vil ikke erklære krisen i branchen for ovre, men håber, at det er begyndelsen til enden på den. Med de 200 nyansættelser Odfjell allerede har foretaget den seneste tid, vil over en tredjedel af de ansatte, der blev afskediget under krisen, igen være i arbejde inden for to år.

Blandt de kontrakter, virksomheden kommer til at mangle folk til, er Johan Sverdrup på den norske kontinentalsokkel i Nordsøen, samt Mariner og Clair Ridge, som ligger på den britiske side.
