New service from Ijmuiden to Kolding
PORTS: Kolding port has gotten a new regular service to Ijmuiden in the Netherlands. The company H. Daugaard has contracted with a steelwork resulting in weekly ships calling from the Dutch port in the furture.
"We are talking about substantial amounts of tin plates, which among other things are used for the production of tin cans for the food production industry and in the future will go through Kolding port. We consider this to be a positive contribution to the development the port has gone through the past years", says sales director of H. Daugaard, Palle Mogensen.
H. Daugaard A/S has through a number of years been 'turntable' for large amounts of steel and paper products at Kolding Port. The company has headquarters at Kolding Port and departments in Aarhus, Vejle and Vamdrup as well as Czech Republic and Luxembourg. In total, Daugaard has 220 employees.
Port chief Kim Sandahl is also satisfied with the new amount of cargo.
"We are continuously working with new areas of shipping and amounts of cargo in cooperation with the companies of the port. It is therefore gratifying when we succeed in adding new amounts that will contribute to the growth of the port in the long run", says the port chief.
