MSC containerskib kolliderer med kinesisk skib

Det Panama-flagede containerskib MSC Luciana kolliderede tirsdag med et kinesisk fragtskib syv sømil ud for havnen Caofeidian i Kina. Ved kollissionen blev der slået et større hul i skroget på det kinesiske skib, der straks begyndte at tage vand ind.

Det 11.668 TEU store containerskib var på vej fra Tianjin mod Busan, da det ramte det kinesiske fragtskib Sulianjaiji 0118 i styrbordside. Ved kollisionen blev der slået et 2-3 stort hul i skroget på skibet, der straks begyndte at tage vand ind.

Det lykkedes for redningsfartøjet Bei Hai Jiu 119 at få en trosse ombord på det kinesiske skib, der blev slæbt til havnen i Caofeidian. Ingen af skibets 16 besætningsmedlemmer kom til skade ved kollissionen.

MSC Luciana fik kun mindre skader og kunne fortsætte mod Busan, hvor det forventes at ankomme fredag.
