Maersk Line: Vi vil gøre det samme igen

Selv om det har skabt problemer for Maersk Line, at rederiets containerskib Alexander Maersk natten til fredag samlede 113 migranter op i Middelhavet, og først fik tilladelse til at sætte dem i land knap fire døgn senere, vil rederiets skibe ikke tøve med at samle nødstedte op fremover

”Vi vil til enhver tid yde al den støtte og hjælp, der skal til, når folk er i nød. Vi bruger ikke tid på at spekulere på, om det ender med, at vi ender i en lignende situation. Det må vi tage til den tid, hvis det skulle ske”, siger Palle Laursen, teknisk direktør i Maersk Line, ifølge Berlingske Business tirsdag morgen til Ritzau.

”I det omfang, nogen er i havsnød, så stiller vi op. Det er der ingen tvivl om”, siger Palle Laursen.

Fem migranter, heriblandt en gravid kvinde, fik lov til at komme i land dagen efter at de var taget om bord på Alexander Maersk, mens hovedparten, 108 migranter, blev sat af i havnen i Pozzallo natten mellem mandag og tirsdag.

Alexander Maersk, der sejler i fast rutefart på Middelhavet for Maersk Line, har genoptaget sejladsen og er tirsdag formiddag på vej mod Malta.
