Maersk genoptager service efter jordskælv

Et jordskælv i november 2016 beskadigede havnen i Wellington, New Zealand så voldsomt, at Maersk Line måtte stoppe sin service. Men nu er genopbygningen så langt, at Maersk Line kan sætte dato på genoptagelsen af anløbene.

Det bliver containerskibet Jens Maersk med en kapacitet på 3.000 teu, der vil anløbe Wellingtons CentrePort den 18. september.

“CentrePort har holdt os løbende underrettet om fremdriften over de sidste ni måneder og vi er meget glade for at kunne vende tilbage til Wellington med vores ugentlige Northern Star service,” siger Gerard Morrison, der er direktør for Maersk Line Oceania.

Maersk Line´s Northern Star service beskæftiger seks 3.000 teu skibe og anløber seks havne på New Zealand hver uge.
