Maersk Broker acquires Wrist Shipping
MARITIME SERVICE: Maersk Broker has signed a definitive agreement to acquire the agency activities of Wrist Shipping, a Wrist Group A/S owned company headquartered in Aalborg. The transaction will be effective as of 12 March.
Taking over the activities follows the growth strategy of Maersk Broker Agency and will solidify the position as the leading ship agency in Denmark. It will further cement the role as the only ship agency able offering services in Scandinavia and the Baltic via now 11 own offices, to the benefit of our customers, business partners and employees.
The sale of the ship agency activities in Wrist Shipping A/S is completed as Wrist Group wishes to maintain its focus on core business and ensure that financial and management resources are utilized in the best possible way in order to realize the Groups ambitious growth strategy. Wrist Group still upholds it's off shore supply activities and related shipping services which are handled through other subsidiaries and business partners.
In connection with the acquisition, the Wrist Shipping ship agency activities will be renamed Maersk Broker Agency.
