Mærsk beskyldes for bestikkelse

Brasilianske medier hævder, at A.P. Møller-Mærsk har brugt bestikkelse for at få en kontrakt med det brasilianske olieselskab Petrobras. Mærsk afviser anklagen og fortæller, at man slet ikke har haft noget med den pågældende Petrobras-chef at gøre.

Brasilianske Epoca hævder, at Mærsk har betalt den brasilianske broker Gandra Brokerage for at få hjælp til at få aftalen med Petrobras på plads. Gandra Brokerage skulle så have betalt bestikkelsespenge til Paulo Roberta Costa, som havde en chefstilling i Petrobras med ansvar for brændstofforsyning.

Mærsk afviser beskyldningen og forklarer, at det er almindeligt at bruge brokers, og at Mærsk ikke har haft noget at gøre med Paulo Roberta Costa. Tværtimod arbejder Mærsk på at bekæmpe korruption.

Mærsk har indgået flere store kontrakter med Petrobras, blandt andet indgik Maersk Supply Service for nylig kontrakter om at chartre fire ankerhåndteringsskibe til Petrobras for 1,6 milliarder kroner i alt. Petrobras chartrer i forvejen 12 andre fartøjer fra Maersk Supply Service.
