København får ny containerterminal i 2024

By & Havn investerer nu op mod 800 millioner kroner i en ny containerterminal ved Ydre Nordhavn i København. Den nye terminal vil råde over 550 meter kaj og et bagland på 165.000 kvadratmeter. Terminalen skal erstatte den nuværende på terminal på Levantkaj.

”Vi får en ny, moderne og mere effektiv containerterminal”, siger Anne Skovbro, direktør i By & Havn, til Berlingske Business.

By & Havn er bygherre på den nye containerterminal, mens Copenhagen Malmø Port bliver operatør.

Den nye containerterminal kommer til at ligge i forlængelse af den nuværende krydstogtterminal på Oceankaj.

Terminalen bliver godt 25.000 kvadratmeter større end den nuværende terminal, og vanddybden vokser til 12,5 meter - mod 10 meter på Levantkaj,

Når containertrafikken i 2024 flyttes fra Levantkaj til den nye terminal, vil det nuværende containerareal ved Levantkaj blive omdannet til boliger
