Indonesisk farvand farligere end Somalia

Det faldende antal piratangreb ud for Somalia betyder nu, at farvandet ud for det østafrikanske land ikke længere er det i verden, hvor risikoen for at blive overfaldet af pirater er størst.

The International Maritime Bureau’s Piracy Reporting Centre har gennemgået samtlige indberetningen om piratangreb sidste år og de første tre måneder af i år. Opgørelsen viser, at Indonesien med 43 angreb nu topper listen over de farligste farvande, hvad truslen fra pirater angår.

Somalia indtager 2. Pladsen med 231 angreb, mens Nigeria indtager tredjepladsen med 22 angreb.
