Indonesere trækker sig fra Eitzen bud

Det indonesiske tankskibsrederi Berlian Laju Tanker trækker sig nu helt ud af forsøget på at overtage det norske rederi Camillo Eitzen & Co. Beslutningen kommer efter at de to rederier i flere måneder forgæves har forsøgt at nå frem til en aftale

Det frivillige overtagelsesforsøg startede i oktober 2009 da BLT tilbød at opkøbe Camillo Eitzens aktier til en kurs på 25 norske kroner per aktie, hvilket svarede til en overkurs på 170 procent.. I december blev tilbuddet så reduceret til 23,50 norske kroner per aktie.

Da det ikke lykkedes indoneserne at finansiere handlen via konvertible obligationer mistede BLT i slutningen af januar sin forkøbsret til Camillo Eitzens aktier. Men forhandlinger om at finde en alternativ løsning fortsatte. Og det er disse forhandlinger der nu er faldet helt til jorden.

Parterne udelukker dog ikke, at samtalerne kan blive genoptaget på et senere tidspunkt.
