HSH Nordbank ventes solgt for 200 mio euro

Den tidligere maritime storbank, HSH Nordbank, forventes nu at blive solgt for 200 mio. euro efter at have modtaget bud fra amerikanske og britiske kapitalfonde, skriver Wall Street Journal. Salget er et krav fra EU, som følge af den statsstøtte, som banken har modtaget efter finanskrisen.

Banken, der er ejet af de tyske delstater Hamborg og Schleswig-Holstein, er presset til at finde en ny ejer, inden EU´s frist løber ud med udgangen af februar.

Det er Cerberus Capital Management og J.C. Flowers, der afgivet et fælles bud, mens Apollo Capital Management og Socrates Capital har afgivet separate bud, skriver avisen.

Nedturen i shipping har ramt den nordtyske bank hårdt og det har kostet ejerne - der i sidste ende er de nordtyske skatteydere -

milliardstore tab.

Privateriseringen af banken er et krav fra EU i forlængelse af, at delstaterne gik ind med støtte til banken efter finanskrisen.
