Godset bugner på Horsens Havn

I årets første syv måneder har Horsens Havn håndteret 502.000 ton gods, hvilket er 16 procent mere end i samme periode i 2015. Går man fem år tilbage i tid, er den positive udvikling endnu mere markant. I forhold til samme periode i 2011 er godsmængden i år vokset med godt 38 procent.

Stigningen er jævnt fordelt over mange forskellige godstyper, og stigningen er desuden spredt ud over årets to første kvartaler – dog med andet kvartal som det flotteste.

Årsagen er blandt andet den nye kaj 18, som det seneste år har været et meget travlt område på havnen, men også en klar strategi om vækst. Havnen giver arbejde til cirka 750 personer på og i direkte tilknytning til havnen. Derudover kommer et antal arbejdspladser, der er direkte afhængige af trafikken via havnen.
