Esbjerg havn næsten færdig med Østhavnen

Esbjerg Havn er i fuld gang med at lægge sidste hånd på første etape af havneudvidelsen, som øger havnens kapacitet med 250.000 m2 og 400 m havnekaj. Efter planen blev det nye areal overdraget til havnen den 16. oktober.

For at følge med udviklingen på markedet, undersøger Esbjerg Havn mulighederne for en yderligere udvidelse af havnen på godt en million kvadratmeter og en kilometer kaj, i perioden frem mod 2030.

Havnen er allerede i dag arealmæssigt Danmarks største med en udstrækning på 4,5 kvadratkilometer. Godsomsætningen i 2016 var på 4,5 millioner tons fra i alt 6.626 skibsanløb. Esbjerg Havns omsætning blev på 231 millioner i 2016 og et overskud på 79,6 millioner kroner.
